Program Terms

Eligibility and Participation

The Creator Partner Program is currently open to approved U.S.-based participants age 18 or older who can receive electronic payment in the United States.

Application does not guarantee acceptance. Black Seam may approve or decline applicants based on audience fit, authenticity, professionalism, Program needs, compliance concerns, or other reasonable business considerations.

Creator Partners are approved at the Black Seam Editions house level. Once approved, you may promote any Black Seam title or product currently listed as eligible.

You do not need separate approval for each author, title, or new release.

There is:

• No follower minimum.
• No posting quota.
• No minimum sales requirement.
• No exclusivity requirement.
• No requirement to promote every release.
• No requirement to give a positive opinion.

Participation does not make you an employee, agent, or legal representative of Black Seam Media LLC. You remain an independent participant responsible for your own content, expenses, taxes, and platform activity.

You may not make contracts, promises, guarantees, or other commitments on behalf of Black Seam.

Eligible Products and Commissions

Only products and formats currently identified by Black Seam as eligible can generate Creator Partner commissions.

At launch, the standard commission rates are:

Eligible print editions may include paperbacks, coloring books, activity books, and other print products specifically identified by Black Seam.

The private Black Seam Creator Desk contains the current eligible catalog and commission rates.

A particular product, format, special edition, or promotional price may have a different rate or may be temporarily ineligible.

Kindle Unlimited page reads do not generate Creator Partner commissions unless Black Seam specifically states otherwise.

Black Seam may change rates prospectively as products, pricing, or Program economics change. Valid commissions already earned under a prior rate will not be reduced solely because the rate later changes.

Tracking and Attribution

Black Seam uses Amazon Attribution to track ordinary Creator Partner sales.

You will receive personal Black Seam-issued Amazon tracking links for eligible titles.

Black Seam generally provides one personal link per eligible title or product family. When supported, one title link may cover multiple eligible formats of the same title.

Your commission is based on the eligible format Amazon reports as sold.

Amazon controls its attribution methodology and reporting. Reporting may sometimes be delayed, limited, or affected by Amazon’s tracking and privacy systems.

Black Seam recognizes commissions when an eligible attributed unit becomes reportable through Amazon under your assigned tracking.

If eligible attribution becomes reportable after a monthly reconciliation has already occurred, it will be included in a later reconciliation.

Black Seam does not ordinarily recreate attribution based on customer messages, screenshots, social-media analytics, sales-rank movement, or claims that a particular customer purchased because of a creator.

Amazon Attribution is the Program’s controlling attribution source unless Black Seam is correcting its own verified administrative error.

Payment

Creator Partner commissions are reconciled monthly.

The standard minimum payout balance is:

Balances below $25 carry forward.

Once your eligible balance reaches at least $25, Black Seam generally issues payment electronically by the final business day of the following month.

Black Seam’s preferred U.S. payment method is direct electronic payment, normally ACH.

You are responsible for providing accurate payment information when requested.

If your participation ends under ordinary circumstances, Black Seam will reconcile and pay any legitimate remaining balance during the next practical payment cycle even if that final balance is below the normal $25 threshold.

Returns, cancellations, invalid transactions, Amazon reporting corrections, or other legitimate reversals may result in reasonable adjustments to current or future commission balances.

Taxes

Creator Partners are responsible for their own federal, state, and local tax obligations.

Black Seam may request a Form W-9 or other appropriate tax information when needed for tax reporting, payment administration, backup withholding, or another legal requirement.

Black Seam may issue any tax forms required by applicable law.

Black Seam does not require tax documentation merely to apply to or initially join the Program unless it becomes necessary for a legitimate payment or reporting purpose.

Nothing provided through the Creator Partner Program is personal tax advice.

Disclosure, Honest Opinions, and Amazon Reviews

When you promote a Black Seam product using a commission-eligible link, you must make your financial relationship with Black Seam clear to your audience.

A simple recommended disclosure is:

The disclosure should be placed where viewers, readers, or listeners are reasonably likely to notice it.

For video or LIVE content, do not rely only on a disclosure hidden in a profile or distant description.

Your opinion remains your own.

Black Seam does not require positive commentary in exchange for participation or commission.

You may like, dislike, criticize, stop reading, decline to promote, or simply decide that a particular Black Seam title is not right for you or your audience.

Do not claim to have read, used, or personally experienced something you have not.

Amazon Customer Reviews

While you are an active paid Black Seam Creator Partner, do not create or edit Amazon customer reviews or star ratings for Black Seam Editions products.

If you posted a legitimate Amazon review before joining the Program, Black Seam will not ask you to remove it, improve it, reduce it, or otherwise change it.

Leave that existing review alone while the paid relationship is active.

This restriction applies to Amazon customer reviews. You may continue discussing Black Seam products honestly on your own platforms and on other platforms, subject to their rules and applicable disclosure requirements.

Program Rules

Creator Partners must use the Program honestly.

You may not intentionally:

• Generate fake, automated, manipulated, or refund-cycled transactions.
• Manipulate Amazon Attribution or interfere with another Creator Partner’s tracking.
• Use your own links primarily to generate commissions on your own purchases.
• Require, purchase, incentivize, or manipulate Amazon customer reviews.
• Make false or misleading claims about Black Seam, its authors, products, prices, or your relationship with Black Seam.
• Impersonate Black Seam, one of its authors, or another Creator Partner.
• Represent that you have authority to act or contract on Black Seam’s behalf.
• Use deceptive redirects, artificial traffic, spam networks, or similar schemes.
• Run paid advertising using Black Seam tracking links, author names, book titles, trademarks, or promotional assets without prior written approval.

Black Seam may pause or end participation and may withhold commissions tied to fraudulent, manipulated, or prohibited activity.

For ordinary correctable issues, Black Seam will generally seek a correction before ending the relationship.

Black Seam Assets and Creator Content

Black Seam may provide approved covers, promotional artwork, descriptions, author information, logos, talking points, and other Creator Partner resources.

You may use those materials to promote eligible Black Seam products while participating in the Program.

Do not claim ownership of Black Seam intellectual property, create unauthorized merchandise, materially misrepresent Black Seam assets, or imply that you officially speak for Black Seam.

Your original content remains yours unless we separately agree otherwise.

Black Seam may use normal social-platform functions such as reposting, sharing, tagging, or linking to public content that mentions Black Seam.

Paid advertising use, material editing, off-platform commercial reuse, or other broader use of your original content requires separate permission or agreement.

Sponsored Creator Opportunities

Some Creator Partners may be invited to separate paid Sponsored Creator opportunities.

These may include videos, LIVE discussions, launch features, read-alongs, coloring sessions, interviews, events, or other specific collaborations.

Sponsored opportunities are selective and are not guaranteed by participation in the standard Creator Partner Program.

A sponsored campaign may have a short separate agreement covering the deliverable, timing, fee, disclosure, tracking, and any special content-usage rights.

Sponsored content must clearly disclose the paid relationship.

Unless the sponsored agreement says otherwise, ordinary Creator Partner commissions continue to apply to eligible attributed sales.

Changes or Ending Participation

You may leave the Creator Partner Program at any time by notifying Black Seam.

Black Seam may also pause or end participation for reasonable business, compliance, fraud, platform, or Program-related reasons.

Black Seam may add, remove, or pause eligible products and may update the Program or these Terms as the business, catalog, law, or third-party platforms change.

Material changes affecting active Creator Partners will be communicated through reasonable Program channels.

Changes will generally apply prospectively.

Legitimate commissions already earned will not be erased simply because the Program or a commission rate later changes.

If Black Seam discontinues the Creator Partner Program, legitimate outstanding balances will be handled through the final reconciliation process.

Creator Desk and Communications

Approved Creator Partners may receive access to the private Black Seam Creator Desk.

The Creator Desk may contain:

• Current eligible titles.
• Current commission rates.
• Creator assets.
• Program updates.
• Disclosure guidance.
• Sponsored opportunities.

Do not intentionally share the private Creator Desk password publicly.

Your personal tracking links will be provided directly to you.

Black Seam may send administrative communications necessary to operate your Creator Partner relationship, including links, payment information, Program changes, and account notices.

Black Seam may also send occasional Creator Dispatch messages about new releases, creator assets, or paid opportunities. You may opt out of promotional Creator Dispatch messages without automatically leaving the Creator Partner Program.

Acceptance

By applying to and participating in the Black Seam Editions Creator Partner Program, you confirm that:

• You meet the Program’s eligibility requirements.
• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You understand that earnings are not guaranteed.
• You agree to clearly disclose your commission relationship when required.
• You agree to keep Amazon customer reviews separate from your active paid Creator Partner relationship.
• You agree not to manipulate transactions, attribution, or reviews.
• You agree to follow these Terms while participating.

If Black Seam approves your application, these Terms govern your Creator Partner participation.
